SCOUTPATH · PRODUCT CONCEPT

ScoutPath.
Planned with Claude.

We plan to build a Claude-powered workspace that helps adult Scout volunteers prepare programmes, organise equipment and draft messages for families.

Development has not started. The preview below uses prewritten examples.

CLAUDE’S PLANNED ROLE

Read the notes.
Shape the draft.
Support the volunteer.

Claude would be the drafting engine inside ScoutPath. The first prototype would pass approved, non-personal reference material and a specific task to the Claude API, then present the draft and document references for an adult to check.

THREE PLANNED CLAUDE WORKFLOWS

From preparation
to communication.

Start with a small, practical assistant for adult volunteers. No autonomous decisions and no direct conversations with young people.

01

Shape a meeting

Turn approved activity notes into a draft meeting outline, with gaps and questions highlighted for a leader.

02

Gather what’s needed

Extract an equipment checklist from the same references, keeping suggested additions separate from sourced items.

03

Keep families informed

Draft a clear parent message from confirmed details, leaving placeholders where information is missing.

WHERE CLAUDE FITS

From reference material
to a reviewed draft.

One bounded task at a time, with supplied documents and a visible review step. This is the proposed product architecture.

  1. 01 / INPUT

    Approved notes

A volunteer selects material from a small, curated library. The initial scope excludes personal records.

  2. 02 / DRAFT

    Claude API

The planned server-side service would send the reference text and a drafting task to Claude.

  3. 03 / CHECK

    Source-aware output

Display a draft alongside document references and details that still need confirmation.

  4. 04 / DECIDE

    Adult review

A responsible volunteer checks the draft before it becomes a programme or a shared message.

We plan to evaluate factual accuracy, missing information and usefulness before a volunteer pilot. Explore the official Claude API documentation ↗

AN ILLUSTRATIVE PREVIEW

One set of notes.
Three useful starting points.

DRAFT · HUMAN REVIEWBased on sample note A

Navigation night: draft outline

  1. DiscoverIntroduce a few map symbols together.
  2. TryWork in small groups to match symbol cards to the printed maps.
  3. ReflectAsk each group to share one symbol they learned.

Before using this draft

Confirm the section, venue, time, suitability and supervision. Complete the group’s usual planning and safety checks.

OUR CLAUDE PROTOTYPE PLAN

A careful first step.

The proposed stack is TypeScript on Cloudflare Workers, using the first-party Claude API from a server-side service. The public website is live; the product and Claude integration are not built yet.

01

Approved sources

Begin with a small, curated library of non-personal reference documents. Preserve document references and flag missing information.

02

Review before use

Evaluate drafts for accuracy and usefulness with adult volunteers. Require human approval before any material is shared.

03

Clear boundaries

Exclude children’s records, health information and safeguarding cases from the initial scope. Safety assessments and official policy decisions stay with qualified people.

ABOUT CLAUDE AND SCOUTPATH

The plan, clearly explained.

Is ScoutPath already connected to Claude?

No. Development has not started. This public site explains the intended product and shows fixed examples; it does not make Claude API requests.

Who would use the Claude-powered workspace?

Adult volunteers preparing and reviewing programme material. The initial product would not offer conversations with young people or make activity approval decisions.

What would the first Claude prototype work with?

A small library of approved, non-personal activity references. The planned tasks are meeting outlines, equipment checklists and parent-message drafts, all checked by a volunteer before use.

HELP SHAPE THE IDEA

What would give
you time back?

Adult volunteers can contact the group to discuss the concept and the everyday tasks a first prototype should address.
